Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 7, 2026
Welcome to HerbSense. These terms are an agreement between you and A Better You Everyday Publications, based in Laval, Quebec, Canada. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. We have kept them as readable as we can.
What HerbSense is, and is not
HerbSense is an educational companion for traditional herbal knowledge. It shares how plants have traditionally been prepared and used in households, together with cautions and common sense.
HerbSense is not a doctor, a pharmacist, or a medical service. Nothing on HerbSense, including answers generated for your question, is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and no answer is a substitute for the advice of a qualified health professional. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, taking medication, caring for children, or managing a health condition. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read on HerbSense. If symptoms are severe, sudden, or worsening, seek medical care immediately.
AI-generated answers
HerbSense answers are generated by artificial intelligence, grounded in traditional herbal knowledge and reviewed rules. AI can make mistakes: an answer may be incomplete, imprecise, or wrong for your specific situation. Cautions shown with an answer are general, not personal. You are responsible for how you use the information, and for checking it with a professional where your health is concerned.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your password safe. Your account is personal to you; please do not share it. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use HerbSense, and at least the age of majority in your province or country to subscribe.
Free tier and HerbSense Plus
The free tier includes the explore library, a daily number of answers, and a small shelf. HerbSense Plus is a subscription (monthly or yearly, prices shown on the pricing page plus applicable taxes) that opens unlimited answers, full remedy cards and care plans, personalisation, and an unlimited shelf. The Herb Duo subscription additionally opens HerbLens Unlimited, our plant identification app, under the same terms.
Billing is handled by Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal in your account; your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made.
Refunds
Subscription payments are not refunded once a billing period has started; cancel anytime to stop future charges, and your access runs to the end of the paid period. If something is broken on our side and support cannot fix it for you, we will make it right. Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your province or country.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell HerbSense content or answers at scale, probe or overload the service, circumvent subscription checks or usage limits, or use HerbSense in any unlawful way. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with a refund of any unused subscription period where the law requires it.
Our content
The HerbSense service, its herb library, its design, and its structured answer format are the property of A Better You Everyday Publications. Remedies you save to your shelf are for your personal, household use.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep HerbSense available and improving, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may update features, prices for future billing periods, and these terms over time; significant changes will be posted with an updated date, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HerbSense is provided as is, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the laws of your province or country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada, without displacing mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.
